Altano Rewilding Edition
Making Europe a wilder place
Symington Family Estates has started an environmental partnership with Rewilding Portugal, a not for profit organization that is pioneering a conservation strategy on a 120.000 hectare wildlife corridor in the Greater Côa Valley in northern Portugal. Their set of initiatives focus on the renaturalization of the Valley, fighting to recover the habitat of keystone species but also on supporting the development of sustainable local businesses. Every sale of this Altano Rewilding Edition will contribute financial support to Rewilding Portugal’s efforts to protect and restore natural landscapes in the countrie’s interior.

It was a privilege for VOLTA Studio to be invited to design this special edition label of Altano, The request was to deliver a punchy, colourful and joyful label, that celebrated the Symington + Rewilding partnership and portrayed the uniqueness of the local wildlife.
To achieve that, a fluid, dynamic and elegant illustration was created that shows the natural movement and imposing beauty of six of the Douro region’s iconic wild species: the Iberian lynx, the Iberian wolf, the indigenous horse Sorraia, the red deer, the Imperial eagle and the Britango vulture.
